Just before i go on and on with my very many rantings, i'll introduce myself to you and to myself again. I am a young lady with very high aspirations, a Nigerian in diaspora, very friendly and cheerful. I speak two languages and manage to write in one, I have been to school! For this blog however, i have chosen to remain faceless and nameless.
Back to the beginning... for the past 4 years, i have thought and pondered on starting a blog, but i had very many excuses for not doing so. The primary excuse was the question of where to start from, and that breeded so many other excuses, what name the blog, what to write about, not sure if i was a good writer, and an endless list! A blog i came across a while ago has helped put a stop to giving excuses. He described an excuse as -
Ex- is defined as out of; former
C- is roman numeral for 100
Use-To put into service or apply for a purpose.
Adding all 3 together reads something like: Out of 100% use!
I got that definiton of 'excuses' stuck to my mind immediately i read it...simply fantastic! A description that finally jolted me out of mediocrity was the one i came across sometime, 'excuses are monuments of nothingness, they build bridges to nowhere. Those who use these tools of incompetence, seldom become anything but nothing at all' (author unknown). I don't want to be obsolete. It's time to put mediocrity away and get into 100% use!
What is worth doing at all, is worth doing wrongly first. If you don't get it the first time, keep trying! It's time to stop wasting time doing nothing.
For the very experienced bloggers, drop me a tip or two on how to do it!
